Cow skin, or bovine leather when processed into leather, is the hide of cattle. It is one of the most widely used animal leathers and can be processed into many different finishes, weights and textures, from smooth leather to suede and nubuck. The term cow skin refers to the animal hide itself, while leather indicates that the hide has been tanned and processed for use as a material.
